Railway bridge designed by Edgar Cardoso in 1991, consisting of a continuous prestressed reinforced concrete deck supported on vertical piers, with three main spans—two side spans of 125 m and a central span 250 m long—supported on two piers in the bed of the Douro River; the main structure, consisting of the bridge itself and the access viaducts, has a total length of 1,140 m. Services provided Structural strengthening design, replacement of bearings, external prestressing, and vertical access.
